PLANNING GRANTED! 🏡✨ Three applications later A residence in the grounds of a Listed Building in a conservation village
Getting planning permission within the grounds of a Grade II listed building was never going to be straightforward — and believe me, it wasn’t! Our original plan was to make use of the existing 1950s garage. It wasn’t listed, it was failing and, on paper, it seemed like the obvious place to start. But after two unsuccessful applications, it became clear that we needed to completely rethink our approach says Kerrie Griffin Award Winning Interior Designer.

Period Drawing Room - My Way
In this room featured in 25 Beautiful Homes Magazine. I have used Farrow & Ball French grey on the walls this is one of my all time favourite colours from Farrow & Ball especially in Period properties because it gives that real depth to a room with changing light coming in shadows reflecting back. As the day goes on the colour changes, which creates a moody room for the evening, which lets face it who wouldn't want to relax in. -
Transforming a Victorian Pine Cupboard into a Modern Contemporary Storage Solution
This beautiful victorian pine cabinet was hidden in an upstairs bedroom. I stripped it years ago when it was in to strip everything made out of wood, but had a moment last weekend and convinced my daughter to help me drag it downstairs to transform. Painted in Farrow & Ball.
See what I do to transform it.

Creating Interest In The Garden On a Budget - Build Your Own
Adding interest in a garden
Who doesn't love a bit of interest in the garden something to watch a little weekend project? I debated for some time weather to put these in a row or random because I like things lined up in threes.
Get the Look
I bought these simple bird houses from home bargains they were only £3.99 in blue or green I would stick to three of the same colour, obviously if your building is very long use 4 o5 to create impact for a fraction of the cost of other bird house. Be prepared though they don’t last forever I bought one around 2 years ago and the roof started coming off I just nailed it on, so feel free to choose something more substantial like the following.

Turning A Stable Block Into Living Accomodation
Multi Award Winning Interior Designer Kerrie Griffin shows us how you can turn an old shed or stables in this case into accomodation.
Initially, this was a stable block that cost £2500 I brought the roof overlay out and built it down to create a rectangle giving more space inside. I removed the partitions and the stables doors and fitted with some factory seconds klober doors heavily reduced a few years ago, but then stopped the project due to personal circumstances.
