Transforming a Victorian Pine Cupboard into a Modern Contemporary Storage Solution

This beautiful victorian pine cabinet was hidden in an upstairs bedroom. I stripped it years ago when it was in to strip everything made out of wood, but had a moment last weekend and convinced my daughter to help me drag it downstairs to transform. Painted in Farrow & Ball.

It had some residue of limewax on the cabinet but not enough to irrate the top layer of paint so I sanded just lightly then applyed the grey paint to the outside. I decided to paint the inside in cream i didnt used to bother painting the inside but this is such a great tip as everything inside becomes iluminated and makes you super tidy. I got these old hampers we used to have in our holiday let Turtledove Hideaway and put labels on so i knew which bits where in which box and i became super tidy overnight. You have to agree this has brought this piece of furniture right up to date with a contemporary twist.
