Period Door Colours
Kerrie Griffin Award Winning Interior Designer founder of The Interior Co, Gets Painting! I've made the decision to give my Grade 2 listed farmhouse's front door a fresh coat of paint. This decision is twofold: it will provide better protection for the timber, and it aligns with my preference for a streamlined aesthetic. While I appreciate the charm of exposed timber, such as a beautifully uncovered oak beam, I'm not a fan of excessive orange timber. However, that's a topic for another time.
If you're looking to revamp your entrance, consider giving your door a makeover. When it comes to selecting a colour, I recommend using a colour chart to find a shade that either blends seamlessly with your property or stands out boldly, depending on your preference.
Since I have to strip off all the existing PVC paint from this building, I need a starting point for my design.

Decoding the Designer's Mind: A Guide to Interior Design Mastery
What my client's brief is, ultimately starts the thought process, but Kerrie says some clients bring nothing to the brief meeting. They have a bag of ideas in their head or books but cannot find a way to express them. It’s my job as an Interior Designer to bring their thoughts alive by showing them room ideas built from what limited information they have given me. -

Transforming a Victorian Pine Cupboard into a Modern Contemporary Storage Solution
This beautiful victorian pine cabinet was hidden in an upstairs bedroom. I stripped it years ago when it was in to strip everything made out of wood, but had a moment last weekend and convinced my daughter to help me drag it downstairs to transform. Painted in Farrow & Ball.
See what I do to transform it.

Creating Interest In The Garden On a Budget - Build Your Own
Adding interest in a garden
Who doesn't love a bit of interest in the garden something to watch a little weekend project? I debated for some time weather to put these in a row or random because I like things lined up in threes.
Get the Look
I bought these simple bird houses from home bargains they were only £3.99 in blue or green I would stick to three of the same colour, obviously if your building is very long use 4 o5 to create impact for a fraction of the cost of other bird house. Be prepared though they don’t last forever I bought one around 2 years ago and the roof started coming off I just nailed it on, so feel free to choose something more substantial like the following.
