Period Drawing Room - My Way
In this room featured in 25 Beautiful Homes Magazine. I have used Farrow & Ball French grey on the walls this is one of my all time favourite colours from Farrow & Ball especially in Period properties because it gives that real depth to a room with changing light coming in shadows reflecting back. As the day goes on the colour changes, which creates a moody room for the evening, which lets face it who wouldn't want to relax in. -

Comfort is like a breath of fresh air!

They were making do with worn uncomfortable bedding, sofas, chairs and beds, in essence they were making do and Im all for recycling but not if it cannot be remade into the comfiest object you own!.This client had two very old fireside chairs they had seen better days, no padding in the arms, back and seat, the colour was dated and when questioned she said they are most uncomfortable, so I asked why don't you change them, she said she had just made do for such along time she hadn't really thought about it. -

Summer is promising heat waves. That means more time outdoors, warmer weather, BBQs, time for gardening, and longer days spent relaxing outside trying to get you back!. That's why now is just the perfect time to make your outside space work for you, says Kerrie Griffin, Interior Designer from The Interior Co. Make your back garden into the special place you will want to be in all summer long, even if it's raining. There's no better way to spend free time wrapped up under a blanket enjoying the fresh air under a canopy or marquee of some sort, making it a place you never want to leave. All it takes is some imagination and some careful planning. Do your research says, Kerrie. Follow our pinboards. I have one just for Gardens on The Interior Co Pinterest. I regularly pin garden ideas and look back on my most creative days to put some of my plans into action.
