  • Weekend Gardening in the rain! - With Margaritas!

What do you do on a rainy Sunday if you are an Interior Designer?
    You create!
I have always been creative from a very young age, making things and creating new looks ideas and even chopping up and adding to clothing to make unique pieces.
Today I'm doing a spot of indoor gardening because I am desperate to get outside to do some planning. I have already mowed the lawn last week on a dry day!. The mower was not happy to come out in February but I like a well-manicured garden.
Take a look at how I have used these gorgeous chicken wire lanterns to create an indoor oasis of spring bulbs.

  • Defined areas in multifunctional rooms.

I get a lot of people ask how do I use a room for multi functional purposes. You can divine areas with three things.
    1. Rugs
    2.lighting
    3.Furniture
  • Recycled Country Bedroom

I see this rustic country look a lot in American homes they really love there DIY and rustic recycling finds. Using recycled window frames with no glass and an old shutter in the corner. • Create a larger room with colour

Another great example of using the same colour throughout which creates a bigger looking room. Here I would use green accessories and some plants to bring in a colour but once your backdrop is neutral you can change the accessories every time you want a new look.
  • Washed brick walls - Interior Inspiration

This is a good example of a washed wall. I do this a lot in customers houses. To get this cooler charmed look you need to dilute either a cream paint/grey or mix the two together, left overs are fine then dilute 50/50 water to paint to get a cram consistency.
