How to make a small space feel bigger

Get my style here shown in @turtledovehideaway. Turtledove Hideaway is is a bijou bolthole, voted the most amazing tiny cottage in the UK. It started life as a double garage with no roof. I saved up to buy real welsh slate but then couldn’t afford to get a roofer in so I set about grilling my dad an x roofer and a huge do it your self, self-made builder house doer up er!. I wanted to create the illusion of a bigger upstairs than it actually was. I got a Builder in well three in total all said you can't put an upstairs in but I was determined! So I employed a joiner who just did what I asked of him. I boarded the end of this room horizontally which gives the illusion the room was much wider than it is. I then painted the tonge and grove white then used a grey paint on a roller and just rollered over which leaves the white lines. I added a bed canopy and long curtains tied at the top with tie backs. I placed a french style chair and added the detail of the number cushion and this was the result #personalservice #frenchcountrystyle #countrystyle #countryhousedecor #interiordesigner #interiordesigntips #lifeofaninteriordesigner #diytips #upcycle
