This Weekends Garden Furniture Project - Reno

English Steamer Chair 

I have had these in storage for about 8 months and decided to give them a facelift to brighten up the garden one has a wonky arm and can't be fixed but as long as you don't go to sit on it with a GNT in your hand you will be left with it in your glass instead of wearing it! 

I had a pot of Country Cream by Cuprinol and decided to layer it on to these chairs to give them a longer life and give them a facelift from not wanting to even sit on them to wanting to!

On the footrest, the wood on a couple of slats was worn from rain sitting on it so I layered lots of the paint into the cracks to protect it further which evened out the wood actually quite a bit.

Below you can see how awful the chairs looked before and how a simple coat of paint can make it look so much better!

I used two coats and it went on smooth like a dream.
