Beams and how to create a lighter room in a period property.

www.theinteriorco.co.uk

This is a shot after I have washed the beams with paint.

On these beams I used two colours of Annie Sloane paint watered down to single cream consistency then dry brushed the paint on the beams with barely any paint on, then I have rubbed it in to the beams picking up pits and falls in the timber.

If you are not brave enough to try it we travel worldwide to paint your beams for you.

Here is a clip of me doing the room above.

  • Hi there
Please could you tell me how to paint or what to use on black painted ceiling beams to make them look light but natural in my cottage I’ve just bought?
    Thank you so much !
    Kindest Regards
